French Bulldog enjoying a Scoff Paper edible dog card

Rawhide? No thanks! What’s in a Scoff Paper edible dog card

A greeting card your dog can eat sounds like a fairly daft idea. Which is exactly why we love it. But what goes into that birthday scoff matters just as much as the message on the front.

Potato paper, with a tasty twist

Scoff Paper edible dog cards are made from potato-based paper, with dog-friendly flavourings and food-safe colourings. There’s no rawhide in the card. It’s a greeting and a little treat in one, made for birthdays, Christmas, Gotcha Days and all those just-because moments.

Our cards are gluten-, grain- and wheat-free and contain 26 calories per card. The flavour names tell you which flavour you’re choosing; check the product details and packaging for the full ingredients. Our bacon and chicken flavourings contain no meat and are vegan-friendly. Yes, a bacon-flavoured card can be vegan-friendly. Dogs aren’t the only ones doing a double take.

Choose the card that suits your dog

Check the flavour and ingredients before buying, particularly if your dog has allergies or follows a specific diet. A card is a treat alongside their usual balanced food. It isn’t a meal replacement, and it isn’t automatically suitable for every dog.

Our feeding guidance is for dogs over six months old. Offer one card at a time, supervise the scoffing and keep fresh drinking water available. If you’re unsure whether it fits your dog’s dietary needs, check with your vet.

The envelope is still off the menu

Remove the envelope and all packaging before giving the card to your dog. If you’d like to add a message, use a dog-friendly edible ink pen. The ink is edible; the pen itself definitely stays with the human.

A little celebration, without rawhide

Pick the words that sound like your dog, choose their flavour and let them enjoy their own birthday post. They may be more interested in the scoff than the sentiment. We won’t take it personally.
