Most birthday cards end up on a shelf. A Scoff Paper card has a slightly different destination. Your dog gets a greeting made for them, followed by a treat they’re actually allowed to eat.
1. Choose their kind of card
Start with the occasion: a birthday, Gotcha Day, Christmas or a little hello just because. Then choose a funny or heartfelt design that sounds like your favourite four-legged family member. Check the flavour and ingredients on the product page before buying.
Our edible greeting cards are made from potato paper with dog-friendly flavourings and food-safe colourings. They’re rawhide-free, gluten-, grain- and wheat-free, with 26 calories per card. You can read more about what’s in them here.
2. Add the words
Want to write your own message? Use a dog-friendly edible ink pen, sold separately or included where stated in a card-and-pen set. Please don’t use an ordinary biro on something your dog will eat. The ink is edible, but the pen itself is not.
For a personalised design, add the requested name on the product page exactly as you’d like it to appear. Check the spelling before adding it to your basket. Different names need separate additions to the basket, so each card gets the right name.
3. Make their moment
Give the card to your dog in a calm, supervised setting. If you’d like a photo, have your camera ready before the scoffing starts. We’ve learned that a tasty card is not especially committed to waiting for the perfect lighting.
4. Let the scoffing commence
Remove the envelope and every bit of packaging first. Follow the feeding guidance: cards are suitable for dogs over six months old, offered one at a time as a treat alongside a balanced diet. Supervise your dog and provide fresh drinking water.
If your dog has allergies, dietary restrictions or a care plan, check the ingredients and ask your vet if you’re unsure. Ordinary paper cards aren’t the same thing as an edible dog card.
One card, two happy recipients
You get to choose a message that makes you smile. Your dog gets the tasty part. Everyone has a job, and theirs is the best one.
