Cards Your Dog Can Eat.
Yes, Really!
Yes, Really!
We make edible cards for dogs — yes, really.
Birthday cards, gotcha day cards, even get well soon cards (for dramatic dogs).
They’re made from potatoes, they smell meaty, and dogs actually eat them.
Dogs eating cards...
What is scoff paper?!
Scoff Paper is the bone-fide original edible greetings card for dogs. Rawhide-free, potato-based, flavoured, and completely safe to scoff — the kind of card dogs actually want to get.
What started as birthday cards has exploded into a whole range for every occasion — from Gotcha Days to Christmas, Valentine’s, and beyond. And the range just keeps on growing, every single week.
You’ll now find Scoff Paper in all kinds of stores — from supermarkets and high street favourites to independents — as well as right here on our own website.
What’s fun is that every type of retailer stocks different styles of our edible cards to suit their customers. And we’re not just UK-only anymore… Scoff Paper is now sold in over 20 countries worldwide, in 5 different languages, though every single card is still proudly made in the UK.
The people (and dogs) behind the brand
Edible dog cards are a thing!
Hi, I’m Gemma — founder of Scoff Paper and proud puppy raiser for the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association.
I started volunteering for the charity for over 10 years ago as a way of recuperating after I had a massive heart attack.
Since then, me and my family have helped to raise over 20 dogs and it really has been the most enriching (and sometimes very challenging) thing I’ve ever done in my life!
Ever since my first guide dog, the ginger prince, Labrador-retriever Ian, I have been OBSESSED with each and every dog that has come my way. I am that crazy dog lady who buys the lavish gifts, when she really shouldn’t, the one who throws the big birthday party and definitely the one who writes cards to dogs, from dogs.
Now you know that, it should come as no great surprises that the idea to create edible cards for dogs came to life thanks to one of our guide dogs in training, Loki, who decided to chew on his paper birthday card.
That lightbulb moment turned into Scoff Paper.
Since then, with my husband Matthew, we’ve grown from hand baking edible birthday cards at the kitchen table to running a facility that can produce around 2 million edible cards a year.
It's been a completely crazy journey, but I just knew I wasn't the only crazy dog lady out there and every day you fantastic people prove me right!
To all the other dog crazy mum and dads, aunties and uncles, friends and colleagues, you really are the best people to walk the Earth!
Thank you for reading this and for taking a look at our cards, feel free to browse the site and choose something that your four-legged friend can really sink their teeth into!

As seen on Dragons' Den
We bagged a dragon!
You might already know this, but I took Scoff Paper onto Dragons’ Den on BBC1 (Season 21 Episode 7). It was, hands down, the scariest thing I’ve ever done — so I brought my guide dog in training, Leo, along for moral support. He was completely unfased, of course.
I was grilled by the Dragons for over two hours (which got edited down to just eight minutes on TV). But at the end of it all, this crazy little idea for edible dog birthday cards walked out with a Dragon on board!
I was over the moon to discover that Sara Davies — the Crafting Queen herself — was a big fan of our quirky cards. Since then, I’ve been working with Sara to grow Scoff Paper and spread a lot more joy (and tasty cards) to dogs everywhere.
Yey!
