Ordinary paper and an edible dog card are different things. Household paper, wrapping and greeting cards are not made to be dog food. Scoff Paper cards are made from potato paper as a treat for dogs.
My dog has swallowed ordinary paper. What should I do?
Contact your vet if your dog has swallowed something they should not have, especially if you are unsure what was attached to it or how much they ate. PDSA’s guidance on swallowed objects and gut blockages advises contacting a vet immediately. Do not try to make your dog sick at home.
What makes an edible dog card different?
Scoff Paper cards are made from potato paper with dog-friendly flavourings. You can read our ingredients and card information and check the individual product before choosing a treat for your dog.
Only the edible card is for scoffing
The envelope and packaging must be removed. If you write a message, use a dog-friendly edible ink pen rather than an ordinary pen. The edible ink is for the card; the pen itself is not edible.
Choosing a greeting for your own dog
Check the ingredients and feeding guidance, particularly if your dog has dietary restrictions or a care plan. edible dog birthday cards give them a birthday greeting made for a dog to enjoy.
Keep household paper out of the treat plan
Do not encourage a dog to eat ordinary cards because they have enjoyed an edible one. Keep wrapping, envelopes and other household items out of reach. When something unexpected has been swallowed, your vet is the right person to advise.
