The dog does not need to miss out on Easter. They also do not need an entire Easter production. A few dog-friendly moments can make a lovely day together.

1. Give them their own Easter greeting

An edible Easter card for dogs gives the dog a little seasonal hello. Choose the message, check the flavour and take a photo before the card gets scoffed.

2. Make time for a familiar favourite

A favourite walk, a quiet sniff in the garden or time together at home can be part of the celebration. Choose something your dog already enjoys rather than a busy activity just because it looks good in a photo.

3. Keep the human treats with the humans

Chocolate is for the human Easter basket. PDSA advises that dogs should never be given chocolate. Keep it out of reach and choose treats intended for dogs, checking ingredients and feeding guidance.

4. Add a little message

Use an dog-friendly edible ink pen on your Scoff Paper card. “Happy Easter to my favourite little egg” is quite enough. The pen is not edible, so put it away before offering the card.

5. Let the dog decide how much fuss they want

A photo can be lovely, but the dog does not owe anyone a performance. Keep the moment relaxed and let them wander off if they prefer. Their Easter review may simply be a nap.
