Welcome to Scoff Paper

We make edible cards for dogs — yes, really.
Birthday cards, gotcha day cards, even get well soon cards (for dramatic dogs).
They’re made from potatoes, they smell meaty, and dogs actually eat them.

Meet Gemma!

Hi, I’m Gemma and I founded Scoff Paper… The bone-fide first rawhide-free, potato based edible greetings cards for dogs.  

I’m also an ambassador and puppy raiser for the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association. 

I started Scoff Paper, with my partner Matthew, when one of our guide dogs in training, Loki, decided he’d try and eat his paper-based birthday card… and Hey Presto, the idea was born!

Since then, we’ve sold a lot of doggie cards and built a facility that can manufacture around 2 million cards per year!

We started off with dog birthday cards and have since expanded to a crazy range for all occasions... and it keeps on growing, ever week!

Dragons' Den

You might already know this, but in February 2024, I took Scoff Paper in to the Dragon’s Den on BBC1.  

It was absolutely, hands down, the scariest thing I’ve ever done so I took my guide dog in training, Leo, with me... He was well chilled.

I was grilled by the Dragons for over two hours (which gets edited down to about 8 minutes) but at the end of it all, this crazy little dog birthday gift idea came out with a Dragon!

I was so delighted to find that Sara Davies, the Crafting Queen, was actually a big fan of crazy edible dog cards!

Since then, my little company has been working with Sara on growing our business and making lots and lots of doggies very happy.
